Ok, here are some photos i took tonight. It was a bit of a last minute thing, I drove there from london today and scored a ticket in A1 row 11, actually a better seat than i thought it would be. Got it less than face value. Met up with some of the usual suspects before and after, and i arrived back home around 3:45am! Im knackered but it was well worth it. A great show, and we got midnight rambler!!

This one is my favourite:

And here are some of us after the show.

Me and Paulywaul

Paulywaul, beast and two people i forgot their names! (sorry)

Me, Paulywaul, beast and the other two again!

The first one is very good Jimmy. I love the way Keef stands and the light coming in from the right. Very cool snapshot...

Nice photos, but slightly disapointed with cardiff nowhere near as good as twickenham for bars & merchandise nd it will definately be the lst time for me in the nosebleeds seats and the sound was muffled most of the time anybody notice or have i missed any news about that?

Off to spain for a weeks break, have a nice time in horsens etc.

i had the same experience as you- dreadful sound,
and in all honesty, dreadful audience.
Everybody was sitting down, looking bored and talking amongst themselves.
In all likelyhood i'd never go to the Millenium Stadium,
for a Stones concert, again. (tiered seats, certainly never again)

Perhaps, it was just the location i was seated in- but it was a largely soulless, experience.

Moral of story: go with like-minded people, surround yourself with them, eat, drink, be merry .............. and you SHOULD by rights end up having anything other than a soulless experience. Additionally, leg it down to the B stage at the requisite moment and get yerself some great souvenir pics. O well, better luck in 07.

i think the moral to my Cardiff story, Pauly,
is not to go for tiered seats, again.

From all accounts, i've read, the fans on the floor had a ball,
and us poor (stupid?) sods, in the stands, had a miserable time.

With you Adrian-L. Twicks was far better sound and atmosphere. The tiered seating is awful and the crowd by me were 50% morbid. And the sound was a big let down. I was shoked after Twicks. Mind you the Stones were still on top form......

Hmmm ......... reminds me of Licks 2003 when I similarly made the mistake of being in tiered seats. Never again for me too. Well, live & learn, and the good thing is ...... they'll be round again. There's nothing worse than being surrounded by grumpy largely uninterested people who really ought to be at the Proms more so than a Rolling Stones concert. My sympathies.

yes, the form of the band, is not in question- they were a revelation,
on the UK leg of the tour.
It's just a shame, that it was my gf's, first Stones concert, and i had (probably) built it up and sensationalised the experience,
too much over recent months,
and the crowd around us were the worst i've ever experienced, and for me, ruined the whole night.
The only time they got off their arses, was to go to the bar
(for the 4-5th time, during the show), and the rest of the time they were talking and generally, there, for a boozy night out,
and clearly not for the music.

The awful echo and sound quality, only add to my tale of woe.

Having said all that, the GF, had a great time, and doesn't know what i was whinging on about, post-show.

Adrian totally agree as the crowd was not interested at all by me apart from a couple of fans who bothered to get up and then we was getting dirty looks, i have been twice to this stadium and enjoyed each occaison but for some reason there just was no atmosphere in the upper tier and was no where the orginisation at twickenham where they had bars and merchandice shops around the perimeter, but as i say never again.

Did look in the hard rock cafe but to be honest left it a bit late, perhaps next year we will meet up.

Yeah the crowd were lame, I was on the pitch, A1, and even there most of the people were pretty lifeless. Some were going a bit wild, but no where near the enthusiasm of glasgow or twickers. I remember looking over to my left at block L32, and alot of people were sat down. But at one point near the end of the show, mick runs over and almost everyone is on their feet clapping and responding to micks moves, apart from this couple perhaps in their late 50's just sat there, looking bewildered... I mean, what the hell are they doing there? Those seats were £150!!
