I know it's a obscure song but after listening to it the other day I got to thinking, who of Mick's 350 girlfriends could he be refering to? It can't be just any ol' gal. Or is it a gal at all?
The lyrics are interesting though.
My initial thought was his first wife. She seems like a Tough Cookie herself.

no stones songs are 'obscure' to the people on this board; it always struck me as being about BILL. (the teenage bridge line always get a chuckle out of me; though i realize my chronology may be off on this)

i wonder if it maybe keith contributed lyrics as well as the main riff???

could be about anita then if that were the case, though most stones song subjects seem to be composites and abstractions (Sweet Black Angel being one of the exceptions)

interesting they would go all the way back to '75 for the music for that one, and seeing how mick was trying so hard to be current on UC, it could well be keith's song all the way, lead vocal excluded.
