Well, what can one say?! Except that not everyone at Sticky Fingers this last Saturday night were as impressed with their London invasion as the Vikings themselves. To put it rather mildly: Londonners are not used to shouting, yelling, singing and monkey behaviour at the dinner table. There were some raised eyebrows, some disgusted looks. Some Scandinavians who were actually ashamed on their behalves... How do I know? I was there, unfortunately. It seems the Vikings have not aquired better manners since the year 1000... Evolution has failed to put it's mark on them.

Btw return to history books...
The original vikings in - to mention a couple of relatively well
documented arenas - the Auld Ukraine as well as Southern Erie
was peaceful craftsmen and worked mainly with trade and commerce.

Well, if Stones had did the same you would thought that was cool, but some people jugde after which people who do it. It is strange that you jugde these guys when you know the history of Stones. And they were harmless and did absolutely not hurt or damage anything. Much better that people are happy than violent and rude.

It's interesting to see Bjornulf, Gazza and Stonesdoug all in the same photo with some fo the Vikings. It's like a summit meeting of all the heads of the major Stones fan sites of the world.

shidoobee, were you somewhere near A1 at Twix on Sunday?
Man, it was full of "shedobee crew" shirts and they just looked so bored throughout the show, what was the matter? I was dancing and singing, had brought a girl and she was standing before me and hopping slightly, she said afterward that the guys around looked so grim it kind of made her feel stupid if she let go too much... Seen too many shows perhaps, shattered?

Guess those were not the ones who wrecked the bar! Go Vikings! Honest, you did it in Sticky Fingers, it can only be right.

I was, but I'm not one of the American Shidoobee-crew in green t-shirts. I'd never wear a uniform like that... And I never look bored in a Stones concert! I sing, dance, drink and have a ball. I had a really great time at Twickers. Good show. I'm impressed with Keith. And understand Jagger's decission to skip one of the encores to save his voice. He hates having to cancell, and his vocal cords seem a bit vulnerable these days.

That was Vilhelm (Mickijaggeroo)'s idea..lol

It was great to meet the Vikings at the Cabbage Patch. Lots of very nice Scandinavian folks there - Vilhelm, bv, Erik_Snow, Stein and Robert amongst others (plus I bumped into erikjjf at the show as well). Nice surprise to meet Robert Lindmark at last, considering we used to trade tapes some twenty years ago and lost touch!

Go Vikings. Sounds like you would fit in well in Glasgow. If so, see you at Sticky Fingers gig tonight / Hard Rock cafe tomorrow.

These are STONES fans, for God's sake. Remember your history? The Stones were never renowned for their quiet behaviour in bars / restaurants (actually, I thought it was a burger joint). This is not a church social and I left the jig-saws at home. Rock 'n' Roll, Vikings!

major difference. the Stones are rock n roll stars. people like their stars to be LOUD and over the top

us boring mortals don't get the same response. its not 'rock n roll' behaviour unless you're a rock n roller

I should not be commenting on such a post, but I will, just to set some things straight.
We had a good time, we sang along to the Stonessongs on the speakersystem. Loud, yes.
So did at least another 25-30 people in the room, so we were not alone. We spoke to probably all scandinavians there, no one complained, they were all smiling and excited, having a good time, even if they did not show it much as we did. I hope you have some statistics to prove your point, but I really donĀ“t care.
Stonesvikings are very social, we do not discriminate against any Stonesfans, if someone like to party with us, they are most welcome and they are sure to have a good time. Are you sure you "Sing, dance, drink and have a ball" in concert?? If so, strange that one is not allowed to do it elsewhere......

Find it a bit strange someone from overseas claiming that londoners "arent used to shouting, yelling, singing and monkey behaviour "

You obviously havent been to too many football matches, seen too many of them at holiday resorts, stag or hen weekends, or been in too many pubs around closing time on weekends - where that kind of thing is almost compulsory!

More pictures from London are up now, but beware!:
The pictures are showing people partying!!

So if you have a hard time seeing such pictures, stay away.
Also added some pics from the Stonesconvention. And more to come!

See how the Stones promote international unity and harmony? Now if they would just tour the Middle East.
