I havent found that many of him after the tour 1976 or during the tour for that matter. Anybody wanna share? I found something here, one from 1975 and one from 1977.

Are we sure that the 75-pic is from 75? I didn't know he used Meg to clean up before 1977. Besides, he looks too old for 1975. Anyone got any other info?

The George and Meg that are mentioned - is that George and Meg Patterson?

Seems as if I recall there was a Dr. Meg associated with Clapton's heroin recovery in the early 70's.

Same person? Or am I missing the boat completely?

Yeah I know I have a problem with that one too, could be 1977. But, he did try to quit before and after 1977 (he quit H in 1980). He looks older without makeup though.

No they must be from 1977 both of them.

I would say the 2nd picture definetley looks like the "some Girls" keith. he lost a lot of weight after re-hab.

Ive seen that too but do you have the story of his rehab in 1977? Hes the vampire from Toronto on the first one and healthier (hm...) on the second one. Although he did in fact continue his abuse for some years. And still dabbles with it. Id love to see more photos from 76-78 but they are hard to find. I mean photos off stage.

No, you're not, In fact if you browse through the site you'll see demos of the famous "black box" that Clapton used to clean up, and a piccie of Pete Townshend, the guy that made Slowhand's recovery possible.
I do too think those photos must be from 1977, Keith didn't attempt major rehab stints before.

I remember reading a whole chapter about it in Victor Bockris "Talk is Cheap" book.
Keith did an earlier attempt a method that consisted in sleeping for 1 week or two, kinda like a farmaceutical coma, but didn't work out and then when he found out about the "black box" it worked for him.
Don't remember much as I read that book back in '92 though.

the first shot is the wrong way round, by the way - at first i thought Keith had a Tibetan tshirt on,
but when you reverse it it's pretty clearly not Tibetan. :E
