Mick and Yoko

This'll freak you out.
According to Geoffrey Giuliano's book, 'Lennon in America', in 1972 Mick apparantly had designs on Yoko Ono and wanted to rent an apartment in the Dakota building. She persuaded the directors of the building to reject his application fearing if he became a close neighbour, they would become more than just good friends and it would threaten the relationship between her and John.

Truth is stranger than fiction as they say.........

Do yourself a big favor and catch the current Clapton tour...

They will probably often sing "Have You Ever Loved a Woman"... about that yearning for your best friends girlfriend or wife...

but somehow I just don't 100% accept that MJ ever had such a crush on Yoko that he wanted to be that near to her....

nah...

Yeah ok, so you can have a crush on your best friends wife - but Yoko Ono?
Even Charlie Watts is better looking than Yoko Ono.

LOL..what an image.

Each to their own, but hound that he is, I cant imagine Jagger wanting to put any part of his anatomy anywhere near Yoko - I dont think he'd even do it with keith's....

A case of don't 'open your box' I think. Maybe John was thinking of her when he wrote 'Scumbag' for the 'Some time in New York City' album.

But her efforts were useless... Jagger moved in on Central Park West on 71st st. The building next door. Actually he was seeing Lennon a lot while Lennon was dating May Ling(?). Yoko didn't like her man keeping such company. When she and Lennon had that break, Lennon hung out with Jagger, richards and Bowie a lot. And there was a lot of partying. And drugs and stuff. However, Lennon just slipped away from his nwely found friends, and started baking bread(!) in the Dakota. Bebe Buell (famous groupie and Liv Tyler's mum) writes about this in her hillarious bio. Yes, she saw a lot of Jagger.

That guy Giuliano is surely one of the world's greatest collectors; or at least owns some of the greatest collections. Other than that he seems to have unlimited funds and time, he seems an utter kook.

I got the impression that when John & Yoko broke up, Lennon spent most of the 'hiatus' in los Angeles...?

Yes I erad in a Jagger book too where he says that he hung with Lennon during the lost weekend. And that Yoko disapproved. What a "modern-marriage-kind-of-thang"...

Mick wanted to hand out with John, they liked eachothers comapny although John had a ego problem with Mick. Yoko couldnt allow anything like that. On the other hand Yoko has had a lot of men who could have goodlooking women but find or found her fascinating.

Mick played guitar on Yoko's '72 album APPROXIMATELY INFINITE UNIVERSE. There's a photo of Mick, John & Yoko sitting at the piano at that session.

Yoko Ono should have NEVER been given access to a recording studio!!!!!

She had & has no business having anything to do with MUSIC!!!!

If John loved her fine, but should NEVER have pushed that wailing Bitch in
front of a microphone!!!!

I remember seeing them join up with Chuck Berry back in the 70's on a TV show,
they had a microphone on a bongo Yoko was suppost to be playing in the
background with John & Chuck up front. Half way thru the song, Yoko grab's the
Mike and start's in with that "youdling" noise she made. Chuck Berry was looking around like someone was "goose-ing" him, and she stopped. A couple of seconds later she tried to start back up but the sound Tech's turned her Mike
OFF!! best decision I ever saw made in a split-second like that! Laughed so
hard!!!

A bit unfair. There's always plenty of cleaning jobs in those places

Well, let's be seriuos, Mick Jagger was already a sexual icon in 1972, he could have nearly any woman he wanted, why should he be interested having a relationship with the most hated woman in the world, and one of the ugliest, too.

I doan know, Yoko's an artist. Her product may not be to everybody's taste, but I'll listen to Yoko over Courtney Love any day.

Menace - Did you catch her act at the Stones R&R Circus in 1968??

If you did are you telling me you would even listen to that???

Granted Courtney is another whore who's only claim to fame was being married
to Kurt Cobain... she has always been a no-talent Slut!
That documentary they did on her & Kurt really showed her "true" side!!

But there ahs been a few - Linda McCartney being on stage with Sir Paul..
Loved the time someone recorded her when the "mike" was "turned ON"
she was so off-key, another who had no business being on a stage!!

If Mick had his eye on someone, that was John, n-o-t Yoko!

Who the f*ck is Mick Jagger?

Thanks for the photo, Nico. There's also a cool photo of Mick, John, Yoko & Sean at the circus. J&Y are looking up (at a trapeze artist probably), but Sean is turned around in his seat looking at Mick, who is smiling at Sean.

Re: Mick and Yoko

Interesting stories here about MICK-JOHN-Yoko! I agree that John had a superior ego to MICK's. It's on R&R CIRCUS, John eats a bowl of noodles than hands the bowl to MICK as if MICK is his servant. MICK graciously takes JOHN's bowl away for him, but it always bothered me because JOHN thought of himself as a King, and MICK and KEEF were always humble, esp KEEF. When KEEF sings THE WORST, he really believes he is he worst kind of guy to be around, but actually KEEF is THE BEST kinda guy to be around!

Yoko is an artist and she had a career of her own even if she climeb on top of John. Linda had one too but she was really a mediocre photographer and groupie and the stage wasnt meant for her.
