Does anyone have any idea when we will hear news if they do tour the U.S. in the Fall?

Hopefully after the band has done all the European makeup shows first, and not a moment sooner!

Europe first please.

They will need to lock in venues long before the end of the European leg and are probably currently in the process of finalizing this. If it is a go they will get your money and collect interest as soon as they can. I am guessing they will wait until mid-July to see how Keef is holding up before a final commitment is made.

You're saying something there.
But in case of money, days off from work and so on, I hope for a European tour in 2007.
1000 km from me to Bergen, 1200 km to Gothenburg. Thought of driving by car to Bergen, but if both shows are in the same week, I'll have to go by plane.

THe first scenario definitely seems much more logical. It really seems to me that this would make much more sense for the Stones as well. Also, it's not like the Europeans are losing shows (other than the two German shows that were cancelled). If this were to happen then I would feel terrible. Having said that, I do understand what it's like to look forward to something and then have it pushed back. Yet, I do, as an American fan hope that they come to the U.S. in the Fall. I also hope that the European fans get the Stones as they most definitely deserve it!

Instead of staying on the road for another 6-12 months after this summer's tour of Europe, I'd like to see them take the rest of the year off and then go into the studio in January. Shorter tours and less time between studio albums would be my preference. Not likely, I realize, but it would be nice.

'not likely' is an optimistic way of putting it . . .
