sometimes you can find a limited edition forty licks 3 lp's box with record cleaner and tour programme. it's limited to 350 boxes. does anyone know about that? they sell it between 120-135 €. is this an official release?

According to some German collectos it seems to be a fake, though well done. On ebay 2 sellers offer them for € 130. They are sold quickly.

But remember, Virgin doesn´t know anything about it...

They say this is a german bootleg. It even says FOURTY Licks, not Forty Licks, as the original title.

yes but it is 4LP's version not 3LP's version. I've never heard about 3LP's version, the only I have is German fake release (which looks very professionaly after all), nice item to have in collection, but has nothing to do with official release!

The forty Licks LP 4x2 catalog number is: 7243 8133251.
The 3 Lp must be a fake.

But it isn't official, the 4LP I mean?

The bootleg is 3LP not 4LP. The official 4LP version was planned but never released AFAIK. But if someone has it, you can set me right!

Really, do you have 4Lp's official edition!? I know it was supposed to be released but never was actually.

Actually I was wrong, limited, german bootleg release of 40Licks on vinyl is 3LP not 4LP

Sorry, the 2 only albums I dont got on vinyl is Forty Licks and Live Licks
But I got the sampler and a 8 side folder of information from sept 2002 where I found the catalog numbers for LTd Edition Standard and Lp 4x2.
Stein still searching.

I hope someone send me a pm if there's an official copy for sale!

But I wonder what the price would be.

It's Live Licks and Forty Licks I miss of the newest LP's.
But both seems to be bootlegs, and I won't pay a fortune for that.

Ordered No Security from Amazon.com last week, only $20.

thanx for the link, quite helpful, but I assume it's only right for UK pressings. I have plenty of french "7 from early days which I always thought are first pressing (and that's what I was also told, but never knew how actually to check it). Anyway, thanx to the site link you had given I've just found out I have 1st pressing of It's All Over Now/Good Times, Bad Times - UK version. Made me smile

I think Jan from Finland has about 20 copies only from their first album release, so he know what he's talking about.
