Rooster, are you sure you saw MSG? Could it be Los Angeles?
If MSG exists as a good video-recording, we should all meet in Holland,
and go through each and every house!

Presumably you mean the "Hotter Than Hell" video which is an edited version of the much circulated LA Forum show.

I've never seen or heard of a video of any of the MSG shows.

I remeber the footage it is perfect. I think it was the show they had to kick out Elton John? But I cant remember any sound? It is probably in Ian Stewart's lost luggage? Maybe Bill Wyman should start to look for it, he seems to be the smartest of them.

Elton played with them at Fort Collins on 20th July 1975 (not 19th July as has been long stated). Theres a brief clip of them (with Elton) going onstage in the mid 70's "All you need is love" TV series which charted the history of popular music, but no actual concert footage or sound from it

The parasol and gloves were so pretty, Mick and Elton make a lovely couple, LOL! Off the top of my head the crappy footage in the Hot as Hell DVD is 75 Chicago I believe.

No, I meant I saw on the setlist-pages, that the date was changed to July 20th, instead of 19th.

i have a disk with a piece of All You Need Is Love, with some short snippets of 75 Stones.
it's mostly off-stage pre-show stuff, if i recall right (which i might not, because i haven't watched it in a while).
the quality's pretty terrible. but i think i remember those striped pajamas. :E
i think i also have a couple of other really-lousy-quality snippets of 75 - i'll check ...

what i've located so far is some pieces of a Geraldo Rivera report from the Baton Rouge gig -
a bit of the soundcheck, a bit of the show and an interview with Mick, all really bad quality;
and then some even-worse quality footage of HTW from some unidentified 75 show.

i'd gladly copy it for you if i could, Rooster, but i don't have DVD-copying capability, i'm sorry.
the disk it's on is called Mixed Pickles - it was tree'd on shidoobee last year,
and i'm sure someone who can make copies would trade with you or something. it really is outstandingly bad quality, though!

Is there any proof that July 20 is the correct date for the Ft. Collins show? July 19 always seemed dubious to me.

Speaking of ´75 tour dates: After reading the new T.O.T.A. book I´m pretty certain there were actually three shows in Chicago (July 22, 23 & 24).

we were contacted re: the setlists page by a fan who was there and provided a copy of her ticket stub from the concert, which clearly stated it took place on the 20th.

I was at the Ft. Collins show(s?) as The Stones did I believe 2 dates there in 1975. I almost positive I saw 2 shows on that trip at the Fort before coming back to catch them in Chicago the next week. Anyone else there remember? I know the books say it was just one show. I think the backing bands were Rufus and Charlie Daniels band. I still remember when Elton came on stage and then had to be told to leave by Keith as he wouldn't just split after HTW. He had a hat on. I remember watching Stew back there holding his hands up with this "what do you want me to do?' look on his face when Keith was telling Elton to split. Elton was booed loudly by all of us who were down 30 yards or so from the stage. Would love to see a video of that stuff.

filstan, that is very interesting information.... Have you got some paper-reports or tickets or something.
It's very strange that "everybody" can be wrong about dates or venues of Stones-concerts for decades.

I too have those clips of the stones backstage at Fort Collins & going onstage with Elton --

I think it's on a video called 'Rock Und Rausch' -- it also includes interview footage with Bill Wyman, talking about Brian Jones if I remember correctly, overdubbed of course, goddamnit^,but, and,it's not too long. It then shows some onstage footage and the soundtrack is Bryan ferry/Roxy Music's version of 'Sympathy' playing over it.

"rock and rausch" - thats what I have as well...its taken from "All you need is love" (or maybe its the German version of the same series?)

I have some friends that went with me, with some still living in Ft. Collins. I am sure the newspapers from that area would have the details. I will check it out. Ticket stubs I have from some shows back then, but they are buried somewhere around here in a box. I kept some of that stuff though. Anyway, I will see what I can come up with.
