Elmo...of course I drink. At the moment I'm drinking an IceHouse...cheap beer with twice the alcohol...do try this at home kids, just not while you're behind the wheel of the car. I prefer Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but it's not as friendly on the wallet.

No kidding, Jed? Now I'm tempted to leave the mountains of NC and move to Chico just to save money on brews... At the bar I frequent a pint of Sierra Nevada is $4. That really adds up, too, but it's worth it. I feel like I'm doing something healthy when I drink that stuff. >
Elmo Lewis say it ain't so....Michelob Ultra? The worst piss ever cast off as beer in our lifetime. No taste and a chemical hangover in the morning for your trouble. It's Schlenkerla Bock on draft on for me tonight.
Used to be my favorite back before they changed the recipe in the early 70's. It is actually an underated brew these days and a good value. A blast from the past. Hard to believe it was the best seller in the USA back in the late 60's.
Was reading james joyce with a couple of friends earlier tonight... we each had a couple guinness--in the bottles--and I brought along a small bottle of jameson, to warm up our throats.

Well, we drank our ingredients separately, but my friend brought up that possibility. Now, he seemed to think that a boilermaker also entails placing the shot inside the beer, where I thought it was one after the other. Can you settle this dispute?
actually had my first car bomb this past St. Patty's day - never had one in all the time I've been in Ireland. Have to say, it wasn't bad at all....maybe this weekend for an encore....
Over in Europe many of us stix to the stronger, darker, more ancient Trapisten Bier, the old medieval monk's beer brands. My own fave is Westmalle & Westvleeteren. A also love the German beer brewed according to the ancient Reinheitsgebot (ok, I know, it sounds like something from a nazi documentary, but its just the thing you only may use pure water, hops, malt & yeast. Plus I love Czech (or Slovakian) pils; English lager, Norweigan ale (yummi)...
