I've been kind of back stage - I was behind it. (YAY, Limited view seating!)

Strange topic, I dreamt about it tonight.
There was a lot of stress, I couldn't find the Rolling Stones, only all kinds of other people, including these junkies from CS Blues and my aunt!

Well...I have been backstage, at the Rattlesnake Inn, if that counts. :-) At my very first US show, in Seattle October 30 2005. Saw Chuck, Bernard, Blondie, shook hands and shared a few words with Darryl. BUT, the best part was being only an arm´s length from Charlie, who actually came there twice! I was totally speechless, and that was probably the best - too much in awe to say anything reasonable anyway. Unbelievable! Needless to say, a great experience.

Yes I was at he Rattlesnake last Sept and stood 6 inches from Charlie, actually I brushed him as I walked by! A very cool place! Saw all their dressing rooms! It was very different from the way I pictured it in my mind.

Hehe...true! Forgot to mention that Jo Wood was at the door once and looked into the room, which really made me jump at the thought of seeing Ronnie soon! But alas, he didn´t show, which is too bad as I am a Ronnie girl. :-)

Nope, but I've been to Leavell's house several times.

Not at a Stones show - but I was backstage three times at Allman Brothers shows. Cleveland and Cincinatti in 1998 and Cleveland again in 2000. I've got a copy of Eat A Peach somewhere signed by all surviving members, a broken drumstick and a copy of the setlist with a nice big footprint from the stage on it.

Its ok, but a bit tedious...much more fun to chat with Ronnie and Keith in a bar somewhere!

they didnt have a backstage.......just a '77 Dodge van with over 1 million miles on it (used as a dressing room with snacks from 7/11)

But it's all about the ambience.

There's been a few times I've been glad to see an ambulance with ambience (you know, lights, sirens, etc.).

I've been backstage for Iron Maiden and Bruce Dickinson (i'm great friends w/his mother-in-law). Was actually very tame although I did discuss with Adrian Smith (guitarist) his cats recent surgery! The guys are REALLY great, Dave Murray even brought me a Molson to drink. Their children acted much wilder backstage, lol!

The evening of my life was okt 18 2002 when I was 3 houers backstage with No Doubt when they was first on for the Stones in Sky Dome Toronto. Met Mick for 15 - 20 minutes have 2 pictures of him between my wife and myself and of course some other picks.
Keith an Ron was also in that dressing room for a short visit.
We had a limited backstage pass but we was there on the sound check, free food and drinks, VIP tickets and met a lot of other celebretys.
It was a highlight in my life as I will always remember.

I met a guy in 2002 who had worked as a local roadie during the 78 tour at one stop. He said he was propped on an amp watching Peter Tosh when he noticed someone behind him. Turned around and there was Mick. Scared him to death. He stammered out, "Can I get you anything?". He said Mick asked for a beer and commented on how good Tosh was. He also said he had to ask Mick several times as neither could understand the other one's accent.

Well Wundy, I'm 5'6 and I had on 2 1/2 inch heels so I towered over Charlie. He had a fleecy jacket on with the Stones logo and had his arms folded across his chest I just moved on by! The dressing rooms I did see were Keith's, which was totally Bohemian and Ronnie's which had alot of guitars all over the place! I was given a guitar pick with the Tongue on one side, against the white of the pick it looked cool! I was also given the set list used by all band members and for those of you who have one, you know how special THAT IS! It has all kinds of information, aside from the songs all in order of play; it tells the chord the song is in, what musicians play on it, which back-up singers sing, all in code. I was told to NOT speak to Charlie at that time, that's why I didn't tell him how thrilled I was to see him back in the saddle( or on the drum stool, to be exact!). THis was on Sept 17, in Albany New York. I will always remember all of the details of that night!

Great story Debra! Everyone else too, especially Elmo. How did you get b/s for the Lazy Cowgirls. Did you have to perform special acts for one of the cowgirls? I heard the bass player has a thing for brunettes.
