Frustrating

Have you ever tried this: you`ve just been to a stones show. As usual it was sooooo great. Then you meet a friend and he or she has never seen the stones. They havent got a clue what a stones-show is all about.

Then you try to do something impossible: you try to explain to them how great a stones-show is...

Personally I`ve tried this a few times but gave it up years ago. It just can`t be done. Frustrating!

As Louis Arrmstrong once said, there are some people that, if they don't know, you just can't tell them.

Unfortunately, the only way to make people understand is to get seats in the first 15 rows or near the B-Stage and take 'em. Videos just don't capture it.

I was with this girl one night, and I explained what a rush it was to see them for the first time, to tell her how adrenaline started pumping in my heart, and I got anxious like it was christmas morning and I was 5 years old, and then to tell her what it was like to hear the opening Start Me Up riff, and to see the explosions, and everything.

She just nodded her head and was, ooh, yeah, that's great - real insincere, lol

We made out later though, so that makes up for it, ha ha

As my brother said, when asked by our mother: how was your first stones-show?
- I didn`t dare to look at the others for the first two songs because my eyes were full of tears!

And later to me: Now I know what you mean!

hey JJFrash....funny post, young man; and very well described. I had friends back in the 1970's try to describe a Stones show to me. I never could get past their explanation of these big inflatable phallic symbols...I'd say, "Wait a minute, did you say Mick is riding around on a big cock?" I like JJFrash's description better.
