It's a superb song from a great and overlooked album. The remastered version is out in the UK very soon.
Actually, Pete Townshend's first five solo albums and the Scoop demo series are all well worth checking out, to those of you who are Ooooo fans and haven't done so.

Good Call! Fine song from a superb album in which the contrasting songwriting styles of Townshend and Lane actually compliment each other superbly.
Annie, Heart To Hang On To and the mini-opera, Street in the City are worth the price of admission alone.

Rough Mix is all-time favorite of mine as well! Charlie does in fact play drums on My Baby Gives It Away. He wasn't credited on the initial vinyl release, but is credited on the subsequent CD release!
Thanks for reminding me of Rough Mix...I am now loading it onto my I-pod!
