Not sure if anyone has posted already on this, but its farewell to Rose Tattoo slide man Pete Wells who succumbed to cancer yesterday. A great loss, the man was a genius. I havent felt so sad about an underrated guy dropping off since Johnny Thunders died. We'll miss ya Pete - and thanx for the great show at the Glasgow Cathouse a couple of years ago.

Yes sad news for Peter who fought his illness till the end....farewell Peter.
Thanks for the great work with the Tats and Dave Hogan's Blues Hangover

Peter also put out a Keith style solo album in early 90's called - Everything You Like Tries To Kill You well worth a listen.

cheers rockman, I'll look out for that album. Im 35 but have been a fan since I was 11 when I bought assault and battery. I posted a message to him a while ago on their web page. They were asking folks to send him personal messages. Apparently Pete got them all. I just thanked him for helping me through my school days when I got bullied (its gonna work itself out was my saviour), and I told him how much his music meant to me. I hope he read it. The gig in Glasgow was awesome. They walked on stage with beers and ciggies in hand. Angry announced "Hello, we are Rose Tattoo, we're a rock n roll band from Australia. Hope you like our show, but when its over its over, we dont do encores" . Then he drank some beer and they launched into Out of this place! Best gig I ever seen.
Thanks for the memories Pete
