it is not new:
in 1992, 93, and 94 you had a special edition of the VW Golf:
Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Genesis
Bon Jovi
So nothing new...

The Pink Floyd car came with its own interior trippy light show and a blowup pig in the trunk (can be used as a flotation device). The Genesis car caused hair loss, not because Phil Collins is bald but just because their music sucks so much it could make your hair fall out (except for the Peter Gabriel stuff). The Bon Jovi car greeted you with a voice that said "Hello driver, you are now a cowboy, and I am the steel horse upon which you ride." What a cheesy song and what terrible band.

I would prefer a VW Golf to a Merc.
Imho Mercedes have V uncomfortable seats .
Its for a good cause so what the heck.
I wonder what they will auction after their Euro leg of the tour ???.

test drove this car last weekend..Awful, only a 6 cylindar engine. The sunroof is nice, though.
