I was wondering which concerts ya'll are gonna attend this summer in Europe? (I bet there's already a thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it. BEFORE ANYONE STARTS BITCHING: YES, I did use the Search button. )
I'm only going to Amsterdam 1. Would have gone to others, but I couldn't get my pop convinced.. tried to talk him into going to London with me, but no luck..
Barcelona & Madrid in May, then Nice, Porto, Valladolid, Wembley 1 & 2, Glasgow, Sheffield & Cardiff in August. Depending on being able to get time off work in June/July, hope to get to 1 or 2 more shows then - Milan/Vienna perhaps ?
pauly we need to meet, I am gonna try Valladoid at public sales, I am having great luck in Europe with FOS at the public sales..and cheap...just scored Athens at 95Euros. Anyhow, if I get that Spain ticket, I will be searching for Porto...then we can have a drink at both places as well as Wembley 1 and 2 and Glasgow ( alreday have them)! LOL go for Vienna and by the end of the summer we may be good friends. I hope, because we will probaly be in need of rehab by then hahahhaha and maybe we can get a group rate.

Sounds like a killer plan to me. If you do go to Porto and Valladolid, then indeed it would be great to meet, and it would also be good fun to share the train jouney from Porto across to Valladolid. Got no idea what kind of budget you're on, but I can also advise you if you wish of which hotels me and my friends are staying in, and the pretty damm good website that we booked all the hotels through.
Regarding Valladolid, this might help. If you speak Spanish - wonderful. If you don't, then just be aware that when you get to a particular page in the ticket buying process where you're asked to indicate whether you're paying with a SPANISH or NON-SPANISH credit card, it'll then ask you for various bits and pieces INCLUDING a SPANISH TELEPHONE NUMBER. Also a mobile number, but I can't recall whether the mobile number you categorically HAVE to fill that out, or whether it's optional. So it would be VERY HANDY to have a Spanish phone number scribbled down on a bit of paper as you're going through this. I used a work number, because ironically enough I'm in N Africa at the moment working for a Spanish oil company, just used their switchboard number in Madrid !! A friend of mine just borrowed a number off some Spanish hotel. Anything will do, they're never gonna call it ?
Rehab ? Yes indeed, I fully understand. I've just totalled up the cost of this madness. Thrice in the States to date (MSG, Giants, Albany), and now a further 10 shows in Europe ! It's a disease, an illness. But a very pleasant one nevertheless !

Open field concerts (even in beautiful Denmark) aren't the most attractive proposition.
But it's gonna be special. Not just the concert, but also the fact that Horsens is a very small town with the Stones hype turned to THE MAX. Small place with as much Stones as a big city. It's gonna be cool.

i'm sure it will be fantastic and i hope and trust you'll have a brilliant time - but a field show, on a weekday, isn't an attractive or viable option for this non-scandanavian based fan.
