Re: O.T Ryan Adams to tour U.K

Saw him, on friday (24th) in London.
He was, as Ross suggested he would be, "wacked"
Whether that was down to prescribed medicine for his troubling arm, or for more "recreational" reasons, i don't know, but it didn't detract from a quite brilliant show.
For most of the show, he was a lone, fragile, figure on stage and appeared, genuinely humbled, at the warm reception that was given to him, from an adoring crowd.
Switching intermittantly from piano to guitar and fumbling with his setlist,
his anecdotes, between songs were either hilarious or awkward and embarrasing, but his singing and musicianship never faltered.
A couple of The Cardinals (his regular backing band, on the recent albums) came out and played with him, at various stages, during the second half of the concert. (there was a scheduled half-time intermission, which Ryan explained, was necessary to get his arm seen to..he's obviously still suffering with it, 2 years after falling off stage in Liverpool).
He finished with a stirring "Rescue Blues", someone shouted out from the crowd
"You're a legend"..which kind of summed it up.
Hopefully he can put his demons to rest, finally get his arm fully fixed and continue to enchant and give pleasure, for years to come.
We need musicians of his calibre.
