Yes, but he's different. Mick's not so self-assure as Keith is, and therefor has to always enlarge himself and put something out. Great for the stones, because he is the one in the news every day which is not Keith's piece of cake.

The hardcore fans know who is the centre of stones music, and I'm sure Keith and Mick do also. And that's enough for Keef, the greatest character of rock'n'roll forever.

smile: had? he's still having it.
true that there don't seem to be any film bios per se, but we can be happy about the tons of great interviews.

I remember a documentary about Keith, where he was filmed in his house with a big library (Connecticut?). At one point he played some awesome acoustic guitar.

I remember watching a Chuck Berry documentary or something like that on TV and Keith seemed to be a major character in the film. They were performing in a studio as I recall. The image that stays in my mind was when a disagreement erupted between Mr. Berry and Keith regarding something about the music. Keith voiced his opinion along with a wild eyed long stare at Mr. Berry. It was riveting. It seemed as though they had mutual respect for each other. Ultimately I guess Mr. Berry was able to call the shot.

Does anyone else remember this?

yeah, that's in Hail Hail Rock & Roll, and it was about how loud Chuck's guitar should be,
and ultimately Keith solved the problem by recording Chuck off a slave amp in the basement that Chuck knew nothing about.

"Hail, hail" would be about the closest thing to a Keef documentary, even though it's supposed to be about C-Berry. Reveals a lot about our hero.

Also, a short (couple of minutes) interview with Keef on the "Pirates Of The Caribbean" DVD. It's hidden though.

it's not a joke. it wasn't any of his daughters that died,
it was his second son. love and light to Tara Jo Jo Gunne.

Hey with sssoul,
Thanks for the info on Hail, Hail, Rock and Roll. My memory aint that great anymore, but I do remember that one scene because of the obvious conflict between the two.

With sssoul, not to get too personal here, but you impress me as being more than an expert on Stonesology. Are you an insider of some sort? and I apologize in advance for being too forward.

no, i'm not an expert or anything - just been paying attention for a while now.
actually after i posted i realized you might have meant the harrowing episode
when Chuck is instructing Keith Richards on the proper way to play Carol. yikes! :E
Steve Jordan and Johnnie Johnson are beautiful as the onlookers in that scene.

===Keith Doco....F uck man it would run for about 16 hundred hours.....!!!===

That is the truth there. Maybe Ken Burns can do one of his high-handed PBS series on him. I can see it now .........Famous actors reading his quotes and fading black and white photographs and video footage, much like the Civil War and Baseball series....Actually, Burn's work on "Jazz" was incredible.

I do remember a small 30-min. documentary from 1988 that MTV did on him when "Talk Is Cheap" was released. It included behind the scenes footage of his SNL appearance with Tom Hanks. Not deep, but pretty good. I wonder if it is floating around out there on videotape, instead of wasting away in an MTV archive vault.
