Otis Campbell - That's a man I can admire.

What/who does John sound like?

Strato, he created another great album, two years after. "Howlin Mercy" in 1993. Marvellous bluesman, perhaps the best of his generation. I saw him at "Rodon" Club in 1993. I have to say that only the Stones concerts i have seen can surpass this gig!! I mean it... Unfortunately, after a few months he died. He was only 38 or 39. RIP...

I saw John Campbell in New Orleans at the Jazz Festival. I found out about a year later that he died.

I have the program from the Festival. I remember walking into a little stadium area and waiting to see the next act while eating some good southern food. Then this dude comes out and just started to jam. I immediately looked up the time slot to see who it was and sure enough it was John Campbell.

My brother and I still talk about that show to this day. We were very disappointed when we heard that he passed.

This jazz festival has multiple stages around a race track with music playing constantly. They also have a main stage for the big acts to accomendate bigger crowds. Its a yearly event.

Sadly missed.
