Wasn't it slip, not slit?

Mine is; 'The sunshine bores the daylights out of me' really clever wording and all the exciting things in life happen after dark!

"I am sleepin' under strange, strange skies/I am just livin' to be lyin' by your side..."

Whoa.

I went to boarding school in the middle of nowhere and it was during that time that I truly discovered the Stones through endless playing of "Let It Bleed." This girl, who was older and who I absolutely reverered, knew the Stones way better than I did. She kept saying that she needed to go buy a copy of "Sticky Fingers" just so that she could hear "Moonlight Mile." I just thought that the title sounded cool...

Once I heard the track I knew exactly what she meant.

"...see the fire is sweeping our very street today, burned like a red coal carpet, mad bull has lost his way..."

Always sends chills down my spine...so dark, so painful, so desciptive!

For sheer power and imagery:
You're love is a sweet addiction, I can't clean you out of my veins
It's a lifetime affliction, that has damaged my brain

You used to play the casanova,
smoother than the bossanova
(........)
You used to play the casanova,
faster than a rollercoaster,
I gave you the best years of my life,
don't you kick me in the gutter!

Dying all the time, lose your dreams and you will lose your mind, ain't life unkind. I always think of Brian when I hear that verse. It reminds me of the quote by Pete Townshend when he was asked about Brian's death. It was a normal day for Brian, he died everyday.

Good choices all.

"Booze and pills and powders, you've got to choose your medicine" is a good one.

And my signature, of course:

"I'm down in Virginia with your Cousin Lou, there'll be no wedding today".

[There'll be no wedding today...]

When the old men do the fighting and the young men all look on.
And the young girls eat their mothers meat from tubes of plasticon.
Be wary of these my gentle friends of all the skins you breed.
They have a tasty habit - they eat the hands that bleed.

Put your lips on my hips, baby- I like it because it's yet another way to say kiss my ass. Leave it to Mick to turn a clever phrase!

Ooh, the nights I spent just waiting on the sun
Just like your burned out cigarette
You threw away my love
Why did you do that baby

why? because it's genius, beautiful, bluesy and we can all relate.
