Post concert surprises

Have any of the Stones besides Woody in Houston showed up at someone elses club gig and performed after a concert on this tour ? That would be cool if Mick or Keith or Ron sat in at some blues bar in Chicago tonight and played a few tunes. They should put something like THAT on an upcoming DVD as a bonus feature or something.

They don't do that. Ronnie with Mac was very very unusual.

Ronnie and Mac togeather is not unusual. Ronnie plays with a couple of former faces a few times a year.

It is unusual during a Stones tour, on the same night as they already had performed a Stones show. I don't think it have happened before in fact. So it is pretty unusual...

i seem to remember hearing that during the Licks tour there was an impromptu post concert, concert. I think it involved Gwen stefani and Mick, maybe even in the hotel bar they were staying in (she was opening). Possibly Atlanta?

someone check the reviews from that era... anyone remember that?

there was a private gig several of the band members participated in during the Bay Area stopover in November - trust me, I know someone who was there.

Tha Atlanta paper reported that Mick, Gwen Stephani, and Chuck did a few songs in the lobby of the Ritz following the 2002 show.

The most common way to fill up a club is to spread the nesws about Stones members being rumoured t appear. I call it abuse of Stones fans. As I said it rarely, very rarely happens. Private happenings is something totally different. They do some parties from time to time. But unless you are a personal friend of the band or a VIP or a crew member that is not really interesting.

BV as for the "rumors" creating an audience, you are right, i think virtually everyone at BB kings had come from the stones show (including Bruce Willis!)

Or they all came thinking Bruce Willis would come thinking he'd see the Stones smiling smiley
