JP, can you post a map of the stadium... ?
So; it´s St.-Denis; I mixed things up before & thought
it was a stadium over at Western parts & big Bois du B.

I like the Denis-parts (& corresponding
Parisian parts) where the stadium is.

I stayed at an Ibis round the corner from the stadium last time but on game/show days they double the room prices.

If you can afford btw 80 - 95 €, try an hotel downtown Paris. The surroundings of the Stade de France are as of the same interest as those of Wembley, i.e. nil.
Look at those sites, which have english version :
www.hotel-desmines-paris.com
www.3colleges.com
www.hotelsorbonne.com
With the direct underground, it is 30 mn from The Stade de France.

If i'm in Paris i always stay at the Hotels in Vincennes. It's just three metro station away from the Champs Elysee and a couple more from Stade de France. There cheap, € 50, and only fifteen minutes away from Stade de France (about three euro for the metro).

Cheers,
Wuudy

Baboon Bro, it is indeed a nice place there. My sister lives there so i'm always staying in that area. Very cheap in comparison to other parts of Paris!
I'll be at the Stade de France show to!

Cheers,
Wuudy

It's ugly.

I saw some ugly areas 50-200 meters from Stade.
But after that, it´s nice again.

Maybe check at Jagger´s mansion.

If i were you i would stay in a different place in Paris then Stade de France. It's a beautifull city with beautifull places to stay. Stade de France is only something like 15 to 20 minutes away from all the nice area's in Paris and the metro (RER) is very cheap!

Cheers,
Wuudy

St Denis is where the Stade de France is located. It's the suburbs, pretty ugly and nothing to see besides the stadium. If you can, stay in the city.
The RER (train) station is about 10-15 minutes to the center of Paris.

Re: Paris hotels

I agree with micwer and others. St Denis is a bad place. Nothing to do after the show, except hotel/sleep. And some parts of the city are probably a little bit dangerous at night. If there is a post show party, and i'm sure there will be one or more, it will be Paris downtown.

Why choose the agreable and nice areas as you can make up your mind for the ugly and , as you say, dangerous in some areas.
