It is so boring on stage, please dont play it live anymore...

I really love that one and hate that they aren't playing it anymore. Ditto for It Won't Take Long. I prefer both of these to Rain Fall Down, which is decent but nothing special in my opinion. I'd also love to hear She Saw Me Coming and Under The Radar.

i would prefer they play Rain Fall Down, It Wont Take Long or Rough Justice istead Back Of My Hand....

well, you're in luck, cause there's absolutely no indication that BOMH is returning to the setlist any time soon.

i think Back Of My Hand wont work on latin american shows....maybe in Europe, but not here...

What don't you like about BOMH? Not criticizing you, just curious. You're not alone, apparently many others feel the same way. Far superior to (relatively) recent Stones blues like Fancy Man Blues, Cook Cook Blues and Wish I'd Never Met You as far as I'm concerned.

I dont know, i think it is just a simple blues, always the same tempo, i think it is boring live, there are better songs on ABB...i hope they plat It Wont Take Long again or Let Me Down Slow would be great...what about Dont Stop in Rio or Buenos Aires?, we did not get Licks Tour...so...

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Don't Stop again. Not a great song, but an underated one in my opinion.

BOMH i think would be great for a theater show.

I don't think its that great for a stadium.

How can you not like it> That song is GREAT........its a KILLER blues....
I'd like to see Back of My Hand, right into Laugh, I Nearly Died....probably Jagger's greatest blues vocal ever...

JMHO,

ABB is such a great album, there could be more than 3-4 songs on the setlist:

Rough Justice (as opener song)
Oh No Not You Again
Rain Fall Down
Back Of My Hand
This Place Is Empty (or Infamy) and
Driving Too Fast or Laugh I Nearly Died (in smaller venues)

I mean: Really! Keith said, the LICKS-Tour was 'retro', because they didn't have an album. Now they do have a good one. So play these songs! Let's Spend The Night Together and Gimme Shelter are okay, but also 'retro' or always played. So far they didn't catch to redesign their setlist really.

But it's no moaning. They could play one song 20 times a night and I would be happy.

I think that it might make an appearance at one of the Chicago shows. They played Ruby Tuesday instead last September.Otherwise,we might not hear it played again.

Wish list:
Love Is STrong
Under My Thumb
Gimme Shelter
Look What The Cat Dragged In
Rough Justice
Saint of Me
Out of Control
Streets of Love
She Saw Me Coming
Before They Make Me Run

and what about this beautiful and subtle jewel called "Laugh I nearly died" ?
I 've always thought that the Stones is the rock'n'roll band which makes the most beautiful slow songs. No doubt about it !!

You are the same guy who said that Parachute Woman is not
good to be played live, right?

My opinion: Crank up the guitars and hammer at least one
dirty blues song at every show into that sitting/bored crowd.
Every Stones show is a history lesson: ´"That´s our music,
that´s where we come from, eat it!"

If I look at the sitting crowd at MSG it doesn´t matter what
they play anyway. So why not playing the blues to those?

The only thing I don´t like about the BOMH version live is
Charles Robert using the snare instead of JUST the mean voodoo
bassdrum as on the record.

Boring? The bluesy Stones were always the greatest Stones. They should do a set with nothing but the blues. I think it is their future 50+.

Hi folks,
First of all..
To me a Stones gig without any blues songs is not a real Stones show.
They have to play at least 1 typical blues tune, such as:
Rooster,I just want to make love to you,You got to move,Rock me baby .
As Back of my hand is the Stones latest blues tune it should be a must to be performed every night plus Rambler of course.

Again I have to mention it.
This is the BIGGER BANG tour.....instead of playing 6 tunes each gig they seem to play 3 new songs out of the six they playd since tour start.
That`s a shame IMO.
And to those who are afraid that some songs won`t fit to the crowd cause they gonna cool down or go for a beer or so.
Forget them....
I still have the feeling that the US audience is just able to listen and to enjoy the GREATEST HITS section....if the Stones do something different they get confused.
They are not worth being rewarded with so many Stones gigs.
If I just see how much shows the citys at the east coast get..4-5 gigs within 6 months...and the big european capitols are just getting 1 show, oh come on.

We have already talked about the fact, that US is Nr.1 and the rest of the world gets kind of a b quality serve from the Stones. ( less shows, less songs, less variety, less evrything).
If you would justice just from the quality of the crowd, it should be the other way around...but this is another topic.

My last hope is that the Stones say: well..our new album is not welcome in the US(due to record sales) so we play it less here...but we will play much more of ABB in europe or rest of the world.
Hope so.

salar

You have got to be kidding. BACK OF MY HAND is great! Bring it back to the set and play it at least every few shows. Really the only song which needs to be permanently jettisoned is YOU GOT ME ROCKIN'which has got very few rockin' any more.

I thought it was one of the few really thrilling moments on the new record and loved it at Fenway.

No doubt that they should be doing "Back Of My Hand" or another blues ("Hoochie Coochie Man?" "I'm Ready?") as part of the show. Maybe "Fancyman" now that it's out on "Rarities?"
