Could anyone give me any info about Mick's single Memo From Turner from the film Performance. eg. any upside down printing.Thanking you in advance.

Recorded September 68. Also on the record Ry Cooder Jimmy Miller, Jack Nitzsche
Keith promised too help Mick with the soundtracks but,
during the filming Mick had a love affair with Keiths wife/girlfriend Anita, so he spent most of the time in a car outside the studio waiting for her and refused help Mick anymore.
The love scene was werry popular on a dutch blue film.
This is a long story, I am not good enough in english to tell all about that.

more likely because its a Jagger solo song, I would have thought...

the keno.org lyrics page lists Jagger/Richards as the writers on both versions of Memo from Turner though acknowledges the Keith never played guitar. Is this wrong?

why would it be on Metamorphosis and The London Years if it's a Jagger solo song and isn't a Stones song?

Doesnt matter

ALL songs written by either of the Glimmer Twins, whether together or separately are credited as Jagger/Richards

That only stopped in the mid 80's when Jagger started doing his solo albums

even a song written for a Stones record by Keith and Woody (eg most of Dirty Work) gets credited as Jagger/Richards/Wood

Memo from turner was released as a Mick Jagger solo single, with a b-side of 'Natural Magic', also from the movie but performed by Ry Cooder
