....and, also...any sales, radio or video play for "Rain Fall Down" here (U. S.) or abroad?

Many thanks!

Georgelicks, is the total for Rarities missing the sales from Starbucks? Starbucks would not be equiped to scan their cd sales using Soundscan.

No, Starbucks sales are included.

since the new edition of ABB cd/dvd is out, are its numbers separate from the regular ABB? they would have different scan codes and maybe not be tallied together?....

also, how come it's ONNYA being tracked instead of RFD and RJ....maybe the RFD remix will start to show up on dance charts.

Is there anyone out there who can make an INFORMED guess as to the economics of a release like "A Bigger Bang?"

What would the costs of recording, manufacturing, distributing, promoting the record etc...be--roughly? And how many units does Virgin have to sell in order to realize a profit?

Would those figures be dramatically different for an archival release like "Rarities?"

I guess what I'm trying to learn is whether there is any immediate financial incentive for the Stones to be making records that perform along the lines of "ABB."

>>since the new edition of ABB cd/dvd is out, are its numbers separate from the regular ABB? they would have different scan codes and maybe not be tallied together?....

It's counted all together, both versions.

>>also, how come it's ONNYA being tracked instead of RFD and RJ....maybe the RFD remix will start to show up on dance charts.

RJ charted on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks during 15 weeks, reaching #25. ONNYA is falling strong on the radio, maybe this is the last week on the chart.
RFD is #2 on the breakout of the Hot Dance Music/Club Play with good chances to chart on the Top 50 the next week.

georgelicks, two questions:

Çïw many copies had sold B2B after it's 13th week in USA?

What about the worldwide sales of ABB so far?

Thanks.

The total after 10 weeks was 649,000 copies, the album remained at Top 60 on week 13 so the sales were close to 720k.

Well that whole Days of Our Lives promotion was as useless as it was lame. I hope they never do so again.

I bought 'rarities'. It was one of the most stupid things I've ever done. It really pisses me off that the Stones can't put out something we don't already have.

Me too. But I keep buying the shit like a hard-up junkie. They know they've got me by the short and curlies...I'm a hard core fan; guess I always will be.

These are the richest guys in the world and they can't figure out how to properly promote their new music. I think they should have released only Rough Justice in the summer w/ a video and single and promoted the hell out of it instead of sloppily releasing 3 songs and halfway promoting Steets of Love w/ a late and mediocre video. SOL should have been the 3rd single.

Maybe Rain Fall Down will help them catch up. But how about Mick getting it on w/ the chick on the bed in the video instead of the young model? or Keith!--Talk about shocking!

What a shame SOL was not promoted better, (if that in fact that would have been possible given today's music market) it was born to be a hit. Bono was right.

I ain't stupid, I'm just guitarded.

how is rain fall down doing?
