Any chance a Stone will show-up? Well, I got the tickets already.

Buddy is playing both Sat and Sun before the Stones shows on the 23rd and 25th at his own bar called Legends. I've got tickets for Sat night!

Harm,

Same thoughts I had. Here is my opinion (which is probably wrong) - Stones play the Garden Friday night and will probably fly into to Chicago Sunday so a "Stop-by" at Legends would work, especially at that time of year when it will be freezing out and nothing else for the band to do (except eat and party). I would like to see Keith and Ronnie show up, but this show is "No Smoking" so that leaves Keith out. Wonder what Ronnie is doing that night? If anyone shows up, it may be Daryl due to Chicago connection. In any event, seeing Buddy is worth it just for him. I saw Buddy last year at a small place in Lincolnshire, IL from the front row (my beer was resting on the stage) and not only was Buddy smoking but the back-up musicians were outstanding. I know one thing - I saw Buddy play with the boys in Milwaukee and you could tell Keith and Ronnie hold Buddy in high esteem. I will hope for a special night although in all likelihood no Stones will be in sight.

The Stones play MSG on the Friday and their next show is in Chicago on the Monday. I'd imagine they'd stay in NY until the Sunday?

At what time do they need to check out from their hotel in New York? :-)

I believe the Stones have been traveling into a given city the day before a show, just to make sure no significant travel delays cause them a problem on show-day, especially during the winter. If my thinking is correct, they would arrive in Chicago Sunday late afternoon or early evening. Buddy will hit the stage about 9:30-10:00pm that night so timing would be good and the limo ride from the Hotel is no more than a 10-15 minute shot south right down Michigan Ave (Remember 2120 S. Michigan Ave from "12x5). Buddy's place is cool but small,is the perfect atmosphere for a real blues bar and it would be a trip if Keith or Ronnie played a few tunes. Often times the musicians then mingle with the crowd - can you imagine Keith hanging at the bar for a few drinks? I have actually talked to Buddy before - maybe I will just call him and remind him to invite the boys over for the 11//22 show.

Forgot to mention this as well - security is a no brainer at Buddy's place. Only one way in and one way out through the front door. Buddy's bouncers and the Stone's people would have no problem assuring a safe jam session.

Must be a favorite hangout for the Chicago Fire Marshall

Still tickets available. Can't believe it. All the Stoens are going to be there (even MT and BW)
:-)
