Stones in Switzerland: problems with location

Here something about plans for a show on in Zürich, Letzigrund Stadium, on 28th July 2006. And about some problems. Are they gonna play in the smaller Hallenstadion instead (with ticket prices from 500 to 1000 SFr?).

Nonsense, there is a beautiful stadion in Basel (the Joggeli) where they have played in 1990 and 1995 also. Further, in Berne is de Stade de Suisse, just opened, which could handle the Stones. In August Robbie Williams will play it twice or even more. Zürich is not the only city in Switzerland, although the Zürcher like to think that sometimes.

I don't think they play Hallenstadion and definitely not for that price. Btw, this Good News manager is the most stupid idiot in the country.

Are you a Basler? (hehe, I am)
Unfortunately the stadium in Basel has been rebuilt some years ago and the owner doesn't want no more rock bands to use it since very often the grass in it was trampled after rock concerts and the soccer teams didn't like it (so what, says me, I hate football anyways!). Also the capacity isn't as large as it was before.

Agree 100%. Could I agree more? Tell me how and I'll do it.

I just wrote to Goodnews this morning to bring back the Stones to the Hallenstadion. It would be a legendary place after 1966 or 7.
After seeing the guys in the US I easily would spend a little bit more on the arena show. Rather twice Hallenstadion than once an outdoor venue.
It would be unique!!!!

I'm sure they are really longing for the Stones to come back into the new Hallenstadion since the Stones audience destroyed the seating back in 1967...

Of course I would love it, but it won't happen.

But the people today are a bit to lame to destroy seats anymore. Most of them would rather prefer to sit than to stand.
I think it would be a sensation and Bechir is full aware of that. Mind you I can't charge 500-1000 Swiss Franks as stated. But 300-600 like US arena types seem to work.

Eh... I wouldn't love to pay 500-1000 Fränkli (@#$%& Béchir AND the Stones if they try! At least I would wreck the seating!) -- but seeing them at the Halleschtadion or at the 'tis in Basel, oh yeah!
