031108B 8th November: PETER KARP. Piermont, New York, The Turning Point (2nd show)
(The Arson’s Match/Geeche Geeche Wawa/Alabama/No Expectations/Your
Prettiness/I’m Not Giving Up/Love Her With A Feeling/Blues In Mind/Train
O’Mine/Can’t You Hear Me Knocking)

There are two videos of Karp and MT on the web site:

[peterkarp.com]

This boot with Taylor 11/8/03 2nd show(late show) is great. From start to finish
it is an enjoyable boot taylor, karp and his band are having fun and talking with
the crowd and the playing is loose and fun.Peter Karp's vocals are average and
his songs are average IMO but Taylor clearly brought out the best in Karp and his
band.Taylor's solo on IM not giving you up is from that classic mold and his
solo on CYHMK sure makes you forget woody's solo on cyhmk from MSG Jan 03.The band grooves on No Expecations and taylor shines.

Check out the videos with Karp Taylor's solos are fluid and he goes up and down
the fretboard.

People who have good taste for music.I wont argue here thought some here would
actually want to know about what a former stone did in 2003. You can get sucked
into the contuining story of the rolling stones and the weaving and all that goes
with that.I just listend to Rain Fell Down Live and It wont Take long Live and you know what it sucked live IMO the studio versions blow away those 2 versions.

Great bluesy stuff. I particularly like Mick Taylor's slide guitar on "Her and My blues". A brilliant performance from the Man, as usual.

Those are pretty boring songs. Boring singing too. MT's playing does add some interest to them though. Slide was good but nothing special. The lead in The Turning Point was (IMO) getting out of step with the rythmn. Showing lead skill not feel.
