Jovan was the first, no? in 81. Budweiser and Volkwagen for sure; Ameriquest obviously, and Sprint rings a bell. what's the prize in this trivia game, Holzingers?
Castrol hasn't, but it should have, cos' CASTROL is a funky name for an oil, and oil is mighty handy stuff - especially useful for lubricating the motors of clapped out Ford Transit vans used for driving up & coming r n' r bands up & down the UK's motorways in the 60's. My own theory is that Mick STILL uses CASTROL GTX in his motors today, he just looks like a CASTROL kinda guy ! I'm really rather surprised that "Start Me Up" wasn't used to promote CASTROL Motor Oil. Imagine the scene ...................... Mick leaps into his Lambo or Ferrari, cranks the motor, a great cloud of smoke emerges from the exhaust, the strains of Start Me Up pipe up, and then the camera zooms in on Mick who proudly announces that he has great faith in CASTROL Motor Oil and that for as long as he's been driving he has been putting CASTROL GTX in his shag-wagons ! That would have been a far better use of "Start Me Up" than promoting Bill (here's yet ANOTHER god awful Windows operating system) Gates' release of XP or whatever the $%$^ it was !!
Do I win the trivia quiz, and where/when do I get my prize - & what is it ?

What about "Brand new car" being the promo song for CASTROL? They could even create a joint venture with American Caviar.
"I want to check if her oil smells good Mmmm...smells like caviar"
I dont recall Pepsi sponsoring a Stones TOUR but the Stones did a corporate show for Pepsi in Hawaii in January 1998 and then the company used "Brown sugar" for an ad. during the Super Bowl a week or two later
I dont remember Coca Cola being a tour sponsor either, but I think pretty much all the others have had some involvement with a Stones tour at some point since 1981
