Your 10 desert island discs

Hey Guys

Let's say that you were being exiled to a desert island tommorrow. You are told that you can only bring 10 cds and each cd has to be by a distinctive artist what would you bring? (i.e you couldn't bring two rolling stones discs but a keith disc and a rolling stones disc wouldn't bend the rules)

I'd have to say that at this moment in time mine would be

1. Exile On Main Street - The Rolling Stones
2. The Band - Northern Lights/Southern Cross
3. Neil Young - Silver & Gold
4. Bob Dylan - Oh Mercy
5. The Grateful Dead - American Beauty
6. The Beatles - White Album
7. Gram Parsons/Fying Burrito Brothers - Sleepless Nights
8. Eric Clapton/Derek & The Dominoes - Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs
9. David Bowie - Live At The BBC Radio Theatre
10.AC/DC - High Voltage

Any other suggestions so we can compare before we set sail

EOMS - Stones
40 Greatest - Hank Sr.
The Essential, the Spirit of Country - George Jones
Loveless - My Bloody Valentine
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan

Blue - Joni Mitchell

(ya gotta mix it up a little bit)

"Appetite for Destruction" (Gn'R) would HAVE to be in there somewhere....as would "Dark Side of the Moon" (Pink Floyd)...

can we bring "Greatest Hits" albums, or only "regular" albums?

do double-albums count as TWO or ONE? (I might bring "The Wall" instead of "Dark Side" depending)

Damn, LK, I almost mentioned Shaver. I love all of his stuff especially "Tramp On Your Street". I got to see he and Eddie in Macon one night. Their van broke down , so no band , just he and Eddie on 2 barstools Unplugged! We were at the front table! It was one of my top 5 concert experiences ever. Too bad about Eddie. One of my favorite guitarist along with Keith and Steve Cropper.

Willie Nelson always says Billy Joe was the most talented of the so-called outlaw movement in 70's country music. BTW, did you see him (BJ) in the Robert Duvall film, The Apostle? BJ plays his brother.
