Awhile ago, I mentioned what people thought of the whole Rock Star:INXS tv show. Well now the rumour is that Van Halen may try their hand at this. Maybe we'll see Eddie Van Halen butting heads with a brand new singer, you never know. What are your thoughts on this?

That'd be funny, particularly if he lost. My understanding is that Roth is one of the regional replacements for Howard Stern, after Stern goes to Sirius. He could lose in that capacity as well.

Very sad. One of my all time favorite bands. Although look at all the renewed interest in INXS. Maybe it'll introduce Van Halen to a whole new generation of teenage fans?

I think it would be cool. I don't think David Lee Roth is coming back, he'd be my first choice, with Sammy Hagar a distant second, but I don't think he's coming back either. I read an interview with him and Eddie really pissed him off on their comeback tour, although he didn't really specify how. Is Eddie really that much of a dick? Is this a recent development or has he always been one? I always thought Roth was the cause of all the trouble back in the day, but maybe it was both of them.

So anyway, Van Halen needs a vocalist and this might be a way to help them find a decent one. Could be funny watching Eddie be a dick to potential replacements. Anybody but that awful guy from Extreme they had. As I said a new guy isn't my first choice, but 3/4 of Van Halen is better than no Van Halen at all! I guess as long as they have both Van Halens they are justified in still calling it Van Halen. The question is, would anybody go to the shows? They'd have to be willing to scale down the venues they play, but it might be cool to see them in a smaller setting.
