if its the KBFH FM recordings then only a couple of songs are from Memphis (despite the fact that the radio broadcast is announced as being from that show)

"Shattered" from that concert is particularly brilliant

('whats that Keith?... thats 'Rebel Yell Southern Sour Mash'...Can y'all do a rebel yell real good???')

The boot "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" is entirely from the Memphis show in '78.

By far the best show I saw in '78 (imo) You can hear me whistling on that boot!

Actually - the artwork says it is - but it's not...other KBFH shows are sourced as well

The copy of the Memphis show I have is "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" It does mot have tracks 3. Star, Star or 7. Lies. Does anyone have the whole 1978 Memphis show?

Like I said - Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others is sourced from Detroit, Lexington and Memphis (despite what artwork says) - the whole Memphis show has never surfaced as a line recording.

Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

the only two songs from Memphis that were ever broadcast or made available in soundboard quality sound were Hound Dog and Shattered

theres an audience tape of the entire show but its not particularly good quality

Thanks, that helps a lot. I never knew for sure.

easy mistake to make as the radio stations that originally broadcast these shows deliberately gave misleading info stating it was from a concert in Memphis (they also did the same with another 1978 broadcast, stating it was from Lexington, when it actually contained music from Houston and Detroit too)

the same applied with the 1981 KBFH broadcasts - which were advertised as being from (I think) Washington - yet contained songs from numerous concerts, such as New Orleans, Chicago, etc. the 1973 recordings that have been bootlegged as "Brussels Affair" and which we know are from Brussels and London were for many years believed to come from Munich 28.9.73

So the people who made the original bootlegs of those shows probably just took that information at face value, and the mistakes have been subsequently repeated since
