What do you think of "Get up, stand up"? I think it's pure crap when played by the Stones. As unnecessary as the slow version of "19th nervous breakdown". Is there anyone who likes these versions?
I like them both. I think it's cool to hear them played differently. If you take the songs for what they are vs. what you know them to be, then they are good.
Thanks to Mr. Edward for all of his You Send It files!
I like Get Up Stand Up and Mr. Pitiful, but don't care for the new version of 19the Nervous Breakdown. I tried to upload Mr. Pitiful but for some reason was not able to.
Can someone try to put the Mr. Pitfull song up on send it or however you got it here. Also can you retry the Get up Stand up because it isnt allowing me to download the one that is up. Thanks in advance. Tom
It seems like there is a razorblade-sharp - or at least apparent - border between fans, say, 45+ or younger than that when it comes to liking or not the new 19th... version.
At least that fits with me; I´m less than 45 and I like it. A parameter that may be as important as the age may be For how long time you have been a fan.
Listenin now... Well it could have been slightly faster... But ok for me... Some evil tongues call Charlie Ledfoot; he hasnt found the real riddem yet for reggae; but learnin slowly... I like the version anyhow. Nice horns/brass & choir, vocals job.

Sorry to blow your theory, but I'm 35 and I don't like it.
