I just saw the Rollin Stoned trib band earlier this evening, great setlist. I should've nicked it and faxed a copy to the boys over in the States, that might've silenced the critics once n' for all.

Yeah, the setlist. Well it involved lots of Rolling Stones, everyone had a good time, and no-one bitched and moaned ...................

Who's "dude" ? The correct spelling for "there" in this context is "their" ....

According to my dictionary, the word 'dude' means;

"An overdressed man, a dandy"

In which case our friend 'ISleptWithLisaFischer'- for grammatical correctness in the use of the word 'there', should have said, "I say you overdressed man, you dandy fellow, please go forth to the forum pertaining to the musical group known as 'Rollin Stoned' and express your comments and dialogue THERE.

To which the answer has to be, "F*ck off you red nosed c*nt".

Good, glad we've got the grammar sorted out then, also the dictionarial definition of "dude". What nice people we are on IORR, always obliging and helpful ?

I confess, I was being facetious when I started this thread. It's just that the whole setlist thing with respect to this ABB tour has driven me mad; or rather all the bitching and moaning about it on this board. I saw them 3 times in the States recently, and as nice as it might have been to hear for example, some of those tunes listed below, I had a blast at all three shows and about the ONLY thing I can identify that I really didn't actually like at all was the rather peculiar version of 19th nervous breakdown that they did at MSG. Otherwise - happy happy happy I must say.

Anyway, the Rollin Stoned' setlist:

I can't recall it in its entirety by any means, but it was really nice to hear the following in addition to all the warhorses:

Out of Time
200 light years from home
Not fade away
Before they make me run
Shine a light

My take on setlists anyway is quite simply that the Stones have got thousands of people to please from at least 3 generations, they do as good a job as can reasonably be expected in coming up with something for everyone. One could always dream I guess; a reasonable dream would be to see them in a small setting playing to a hardcore audience familiar with their entire catalogue, to whom they would then play all those wonderful obscure gems that haven't seen the light of day as yet ? Would it ever happen ? Doubt it, but boy would it be nice ?

Also in among the warhorses were:

Route 66
Carol
Faraway Eyes
Like A Rolling Stone
Ruby Tuesday

Thank you Beast,

There you go people, add JJF, BS, SFM, Sympathy, Gimme Shelter, Satisfaction, Angie, HTW to the above 10 songs listed in Beast's post and my earlier post, and near as dammit you've got their setlist.

Better or worse than what the real thing is doing in the States these days ? Quite possibly better, but then this is a tribute band and the real thing is the real thing. Anyway, there you have it.

So, the moral of the story is that, if you want an interesting set-list, you have to go and see some tribute band.

Sad Sad Sad, (not referring to the peolpe who play in or watch such bands).

I like the fact that they thrown in and hopefully kept Rambler, Cloud and All down the line, 3 more changes and I will be happy.

JJ,

It's a little known fact that there's an earlier version of the song (1800 light years earlier, actually) that the Stone used to perform on their Big Bang Tour (not to be confused with the current A Bigger Bang tour). It was a big hit with the Fred and Wilma crowd. You forget, these guys are ollllllllllllld.
