i have an dirty work outtake bootleg called "Dirty Workout"
its on Vinylgang (VGP 264)released in 2000
is this the same as on dimedozen or its a new or other outtake?

this is the same collection that was first circulated in early 1987.
I remember the excitement of getting a very low gen tape of it at the time from a guy in Canada. Apparently the tapes came from Woody...!
I enjoy this collection more than the official album. "Youre too much" is excellent and "Invitation" ( a 15 minute plus soul workout with Don Covay and Bobby Womack) is fascinating stuff.
Good versions of Sleep Tonight and Too Rude (the latter with Kirsty McColl much higher in the vocal mix and some killer drums)
