True - but once again it's apparently lacking sound-quality-wise. I don't understand why it's so hard to come by better than average recordings from this tour. From all indications the mix is improved...you'd think that would lead to some better recordings than what we've had so far....
I completely agree T&A! It's weird that the sound quality is average at its best until now. I've been recording myself until 1995 and ALL of my tapes are way better than anything that showed up from A Bigger Bang Tour (and most US audience recordings from tours before!). Referring to the infos given with the torrents they didn't use bad equipment mostly...guess I'll never understand what they're doing wrong!
Well, Thief In The Night, it's a bit easier in Europe to get a good location, cause there's no seating in the infield and mostly a seperate section front of stage, where you're able to move quite freely, but that can't be the only reason! I've recorded Syracuse 1994 from an average seat - recording location wise - and now listen to the boot "The Sun The Moon And The Stones" made from the recording and compare to the stuff showing up these days! I'm still wondering why the tapes are that bad....
from what I've read, I don't think location has been the problem - some of them have been in what are generally regarded as prime recording locations. So, I'm not sure what gives....
You're welcome Lorenz! Download will last overnight - it's quite slow though many peers are on - and I'll be able to decode and mail it after being home from work.
Trust me, this Sunday I'll be putting up a torrent of the Columbus gig and I predict it will have fantastic sound. Probably the best of the tour so far... That is, if I get in with my gear. But I'm young, reckless, and will risk my gear for a souveneer.... w000000000!!!!
Sound quality of the BB Tour recordings is discussed widely yet - Hartford is as I've said before among the others - just an average audience recording...
