scoring tickets the day/night of the gig

I just read a "raise the hair on your arms" account in the Boston 8/21 review section. "Review By Steve Jankowski, Plainfield, CT" where he scored tickets on a whim the day of sunday's show for $40 less than face value. I hoping to do the same for the Hershey Park ticket(s). Can anyone give me some direction on the best way to do this?

"Hey little girl, would you like some candy?"

JUST KIDDING!!!

I've bought at the show a couple of times. My experience is that if you just arrive a little early to the venue there will be lots of people around offering tickets. The trick though is to shop around, and negotiate with the sellers. I've usually waited until the opening act is on before doing any real hard bargaining. As Stones-time nears, the sellers start getting a little nervous. Look for somebody with a bundle of ticks. Also, make sure you take a seating chart with you.

This is only for people who really want to be in the concert, but do not have any preference where they will be inside. Shopping around can be a challenge, with luck, but also without luck. just beware of the fake tickets.
