German party irks Rolling Stones
By Bertrand Benoit

Angela Merkel, the German opposition leader who is fighting a heated
electoral campaign, has landed an unexpected headache: a dispute with the
Rolling Stones. A spokesman for the British band said he was surprised at
the use of the 1973 Stones hit "Angie" as the Christian Democrats' theme
tune ahead of the September 18 general election. "We are surprised that
permission was not requested," he told Time Magazine in an article to be
published today. "If it had been, we would have said 'no'." A CDU spokesman
told the FT the use of the tune had been cleared with Gema, which manages
royalty payments to musical artists in Germany. Bertrand Benoit, Berlin

I think the bigger problem is that many "socialist" politics in Europe are fakes of the neo- cons, or just cons...

con, neo-con or socialist - that "woman" is ugly. the song was written for a beautiful girl, not for a fat politician.
