Just heard this-one. really great songs. Great ballads and--"Im Goin down"

Bought this album in 1975----my first opinion was---what a shit

now its on my turntable whole day long

"I'm Goin' Down" is the best track on that album, in my opinion.

I love the lead by Mick Taylor on "I Don't Know Why". A riveting performance.

there's a long history about this album - I'm sure it's documented somewhere online...but the project that was to be called "The Black Box" (wound up being booted in various forms) was the original idea - I believe Wyman was the project manager - it wound up getting watered down to this album, which certainly has some high points, as well as some very low ones.

Wymans original release was to be packaged in a small black box with booklet of old photos and press clippings and tied with a ribbon. The planned recordings were various rare live and studio vocal and instrumental tracks

The version I have of I'm Going Down on a cd called Klien's Revenge with Metamorphis alternate versions + bonus tracks is better than the one on the official 2002 cd.It is a little bit longer and a different mix.

i don't know why is a great song and i don't know why it's not on an official album!

I sometimes think it's the album I love to hate.
Overall it's a stinker, and yet and yet, there
are a few neat throw away trax there. Somehow
it still gets onto my player from time to time
but I think I prefer Kleins Revenge, and of course
the originally planned Necrophelia disc coulda
been kinda neat.

Most of the Spector style atrocities never should've
seen the light of day, but I like the Out of Time arrangement,
also the alt Blue Turns to Grey version on the boots.

The Heart of Stone here has really grown on me too, and it's
nice to have an offical release of Don't Lie to Me.

Might've made a more solid ep? Or belonged in a bigger Black Box
