The Rolling Stones didn`t premform at the Live concert(as w all know of course) But what was the reason? Was it some political reason? Perhaps The Stones suppurt the G8 leaders?

They need six weeks to rehearse their warhorses, that´s the reason. Pink Floyd gave their last live show ten years ago (with Roger Waters even 24 years ago), they rehearsed for three days and just did it.

They said that they were too busy working on the new album in Canada, but if reports are correct, Mick and Ronnie were in England at the time. If they had wanted to, they could have done it, presumably the "cause" just meant nothing to them!
