Is this the Mach 4 (1989- )? Will there be a Mach 5 with albums out every four year or so? New concepts etc? What do you think? Keith called the first Brian-era Mach 1, Taylor Mach 2 etc.

i always understood the Machs as referring to the changes in the line-up:
Mach 1 with Brian
Mach 1.5: the first transition (68/69)
Mach 2 with Mick T
Mach 2.5: the second transition (75)
Mach 3 with both Ronnie and Bill
Mach 4: from Bill's departure on

Sounds kind of Spinal Tapish to me! In that movie, didn't David St. Hubbins say to the crowd that they were witnessing the birth of Spinal Tap Mach 2 just after Nigel Tufnel quit the band and the band were playing at the theme park and they had lower billing than the puppet show? Although, realistically, with all the drummers and other band members the band went through, the number should be in the 20's.
