Waiting On A Friend

I assume that at least some play Waiting On A Friend on the guitar occasionally. Right? The chord progression is quiet simple, but I was wondering if some/most of you are playing some bass runs throughout? Obviously the little bass run at the intro of the song. But what about when switching from F to G or from C to G in the verses? Just curious.
