If anyone cares, here's a site where you can listen
to old AM radio "airchecks." These are actual on-air broadcasts
from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They range from about 7 minutes
to over an hour long. SOmd have full songs, some have just intros and outros,
with DJs yelling and screaming, commercials, news broadcasts.
Gives you a feel for the old AM radio days.
JUst type in the city or station or DJ.
They also have a collection of Radio London jingles.
Plus an interview with Pete Townshend about AM radio, pirate radio,
and The Who Sell Out.
