I know there´s a lot of guitarfreaks on this board. If you use the link below you fill find an interesting article on Bob Dylan´s acoustic guitars. I would like to read such an article on the acoustic guitars of the Rolling Stones. Please, tell me if you know of any.

I agree with you Gunnar. For a band that has valued Accoustic guitars as much as the Stones, there are suprisingly little detailed articles about the band and the guitars. Keith and Ron have great guitars and are very good on them. Keith loves the addition of an accoustic on an electric track. On "Exile" there are many accoustics. That might be one weak spot in Taylor's arsenal: the accoustic guitar. Yes, he is good but not THAT good. That would be one good point in the Wood vs Taylor discussions. That Ron can kick Taylor's ass on Accoustic.

Keith discussed them at some length in a couple of old "Guitar Player" interviews (1980-1989). May be available on the net.

Gibson Hummingbirds were used for quite a while up until, probably,
the mid-seventies, perhaps even later.
I think that's the best acoustic ever made.
Marvelous tone and feel.
I prefer those, and Gibson acoustics, over Martins.
I like Martins, but Gisbson acoustics, to me, seem to have
a better tone. Horses for courses.

One of KR's favorites is a Martin D-18.
