Secretary John W. Snow will hold a press conference at 2:30 pm EDT on Tuesday, May 17 to discuss the Foreign Exchange Report, which is being released by the Treasury Department at the same time. The press conference will be held at the Treasury Department, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, DC.
It is expected that the Secretary will reveal details of a recently concluded arrangement with Rolling Stones Ltd., London England. Under the terms of this arrangement RS will charge unusally high ticket prices to their Fall concert tour. The expected demand from non-US Stones' fans will bring exceptionally large amounts of foreign currency into the US, raising the dollar's value against other denominations such as the Euro and the UK pound.
In return Secretary Snow will receive two second-row tickets to the Washington MCI show, probably on Keith's side.
