Sorry, guys...it's gonna be the same.

Funny how this was the first gig without Chuck for almost 25 years
and they sounded really good. THe new song needs to grow on me,
which isn't a good sign IMHO. I loved Dirty Work on first spin.
However, there are a few songs that took me years to get REALLY into,
if you know what I mean. But sorry, guys and gals, I have a feeling
this tour's gonna be the same: Chuck, Bernard, Blondie, horns,
same tunes, big stage, same songs.
This BS ticket sale thing really pisses me off.
In '75 and "81, it was "here are the dates, they go on sale
Monday morning 10:00 AM." NOne of this "we'll add an arena here later.
A club here later. and oh, yes, American Express card members
can buy sooner." Bull***! Go up to a ticket window and buy it.
For God sake, I did it at Wembley in '99.
Although we all want Mac and Billy P. back for the keys, it ain't gonna happen.
It's gonna be the same people, same show, same tunes.
Hopefully, I'll be proven wrong. I hope so.
Did mick really play with Mac recently?

"It's gonna be the same people, same show, same tunes. "

...Maybe I have too hi thoughts about myself & about us here & about iorr, but I really believe Mick check this site* every once in a while (why Mick? 'cause his the most modern & maybe the only computer user - ok, maybe "young" Darryl also, but among the original Stones)... Why shouldnt they notice reactions here... And even if Preston rarely has been suggested; Mac is every day, and that Chuck has seen his best days is another crystal clear thing. Preston is a nice thought.

* If he hasnt before I think he will in the nearest future, 'cause this site is mentioned in the whole goddam world on news sites etc, mentioned as a source when wiriting about "rumours" about the tour... And remember, the site has the name from a song written by the boys.

Well, i would want Mac for the rock tunes
and Billy for the r&B/soul/gospel stuff.
Unfortunatly, it ain't gonna happen.
Even Benmont Tench from Petty's band would be an improvement.
Besides, Billy's the only musician that can play with
the Stones that can have a beard.
these are all pipe dreams anyroad.
Bring back the Ampeg or Mesa Boogie amps, too.
There's another dream. Oh, well...

and Ronnie's solo on BS was great.
Keith doesn't really play the same as he did in '75 or '73,
so why should Ronnie? Although I wish they would.

Tom, have you heard Keiths guitar on the songs from the PC? Man, it sounds awsome, best I've heard it since '72' (I saw them twice on that tour), and that's when he WAS using Ampeg! Check out Drakes recording on deathsocks.com., he did a nice job of combining two sources for the mix. There's a link in another thread posted by ChelseaDrugstore.

I ain't stupid, I'm just guitarded.

Rank, I loved the sound. Best since '78. Ha Ha!
It would have sounded better through Ampegs or Mesas.
I'm picky, I guess. I did love the sound. Charlie was awesome.
I'm in a Ron Wood mood, so no dissing Ronnie.
I though he sounded great.
It doesn't matter, all our "buddies" are gonna be there at the shows.
I've been wrong many times in my life, and I hope I'm wrong here.

I thought Ronnie sounded great on BS too. Just the right amount of everything. (James Burton would be proud). Wish I had a complete recording of that one.
