When do you think will we hear a bit more about the "fiends"? Or will it just remain a secret who's going to show up?
I'm just even more curious now because I dreamed of the gig tonight and in my dream Ronnie was the only guitar player - supported by 3 keyboardists. I'm not kidding, it was scary, and Ronnie's guitar wasn't audible and the 3 guys all played annoying tiny Casio keyboards...

It will be just great because Chuck Leavell is not on the bill. I can see and hear Mac and Kenney, that´s a great thing to look forward to.

Something leads me to believe that, by looking at Rod Stewart's tour dates, he may show up unexpectedly to make it a Faces reunion. I mean, if Kenney and Mac are gonna be there, why wouldn't Rod show up for his best mate's party?

Rod and Clapton are both scheduled to appear as inductors at the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in New York the following night.....they're not performing at it however.

Its technically possible they could play at Ronnie's gig and then hop on a plane to NYC the following morning, although I personally think it wont happen.

That said, I'd like to think that when Ronnie chose a date for this show it was done so taking into account the schedules for the people he wanted to appear as guests, making it more likely that the guests in question could make it.

Otherwise, its hard to see the point behind the whole thing.

as Bill Wyman has played bass at a Faces reunion before, it would be nice if he could repeat the honour in the absence of Ronnie Lane.

My own personal guesses :

Jeff beck - probable
Rod Stewart- 50/50
Eric Clapton - less than 50/50
Van Morrison - good chance apparently
Bill Wyman - likely
at least one other current Stone - 50/50
Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics - almost certainly

As the 'phonics covered "Handbags and Gladrags" in an almost karaoke carbon-copy of Rod's vocal on the same song, whats the likelihood that if Rod doesnt make it, he'll be roped in to sing with the remaining Faces?

Apparently Rod has his plane ticket booked that day so he won't be there.

..and he's too tight fisted to pay the charge for changing the date....
