These guys occupy a special place in my heart. My favorite songs are "Since You're Gone" and "Double Life", but they wrote many classics, and their recorded sound set the standard for late 70s- early 80s rock. They were just so cool, and guitarist Elliott Easton is vastly underrated. This guy pulled off some of the best lead lines ever, and deserves his due. The lead vocal combo of Ric Ocasek and the late Benjamin Orr (RIP) gave this band a virtuosity that few other bands could match. This is the thing--they were a band, greater than the sum of their parts. Together, they made magic.
Here's a partial playlist from their last tour, which makes for a very nice WMP playlist--
