Just curious as to who finds themselves listening to what (of all - live, comps, studio) albums on an average of 'the most' or most often. I dunno how to put it since there are so many so I thought I'd do my Top 5:
Tattoo You Goats Head Soup Sucking In The Seventies Exile On Main Street Bridges To Babylon
This does not mean I don't listen to the others or think some are better or worse but these are probably the most often listened to LPs.
really don't find myself listening to any of them - have them all conveniently committed to memory, thus freeing up my remaining valuable time left on the planet for other endeavors
Quote skipstone Ha ha. Well - I hardly listen to any of 'em at all anymore. But when I do - maybe 10 times a year, it's generally those.
i guess the ones i "replay in my head" the most often are the big four, some girls, tattoo and aftermath. cool thing is that i can play them in my head at warp speed...like maybe 6-7 seconds per album...10-11 for exile, of course. takes a few extra nano-seconds to turn it over 3 times....
I tend to keep going thru periods where I listen to certain eras. Currently I'm in an early seventies mode. (Probably due to the new reissues, though the Virgin ones). While I listen to them all, I listen to the Brian Jones period the most.

A close 2nd is the Beggars Banquet thru to Goats Heads Soup. Shame on those who don't listen to the Stones much anymore, I can't even imagine not listening to the Stones.
It's so very lonely, you're 2,000 Light Years from home
for the past few yrs i've been listening to more bootlegs than official albums until a few months ago that is. but have always listend to these the most ....

recently the most listened playlist is a compilation of every tune from Beggars Banquet, a couple of outtakes and live selections of above tracks from Ya-Ya's and Leeds shows.
These days I listen mostly to live bootlegs especially from '69-'73, because they're more "new" to me than the studio albums. Nothing can touch their best studio albums, but I like the variation their live performances give to these much-played songs.
From time to time I start from left to right on my shelf. I giot two rows: live and studio. Today I staretd the live row again and got up to live at the BBC recordings up to 1965. I have two cars, one with a cd plyer and one with a cassette Player. ("Casstte car") Usually, I put on my self recorded tapes of the Decca/London albums rearranged in playing order. That means different track listing (f.e. Let It Bleed sings in the order as they are mentioned on the cover) or even different songs more in the way modern reelases are: new album with single in advance plus new material (this is more in favour of the Amerlican releases) Don't laugh, that makes a very old record sound totally new!!! ("cd car") waiting for next week for the next Universal re-releases as I intend to buy those records that I don't have on cd (this will mean: Emotional Rescue and Undercover).
