I just scarfed down one of these babies:
It's what we call a "praline" down here in the deep south USA.
Yeah, I know it looks like something the dog just threw up, but it's really a bit of heaven on earth!
Primary ingredients are sugar, butter & pecans, some things we have in abundance where I live.
Try one when you get a chance, but don't share it with your dog, you may see it again if you do!

Christmas cookies! Last night was the obsessive-compulsive cookie bake-a-thon, followed by ....well, a party with elementary school kiddies and their parents (A "cookies and cocktails" party), followed by..."LOOK AT ALL THE COOKIES THAT ARE LEFT! YIPPEE!

Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Bowling Ball Size) from the Government Food Shelter (Due to current Financial Crisis) with out dated Ranch salad dressing for dipping small hunks of cheese and dumpster scrapes.... Also Orange Tang (powdered orange "flavored" drink mixed with questionable tap water meant for the astronauts but now also passed "use by" date by 6 months).
For dessert a Christmas Tree shaped fruit cake I dug up out of the huge trash bin behind the Bakery - effing rats put up a gigantic fight on the fruit cake, those little long tailed bastards, next time I bring my stun gun and pepper spray ....
