It took some time to get Ron Wood started - but after a few tunes, he did some great guitarwork, especially in Miss You. It was a good idea with the bridge to the island in the middle of the field, which gave the audience a chance to see the band. It was the Stones third show in the decade - now we look forward to see the old guys in the next century - sure they can still give a good show in year 2000 !!
Start time: 21:40 End time : 24:00
The set list:
The weather in Copenhagen was very bad. Rainy and cold. During the show the rain stops and we had 2 1/2 hours great Stones. 'She's a Rainbow', the first surprise, was fantastic. Not a crowd-pleaser like Paint it, Black (the Barcelona and Paris highlight!) but great 60's stuff as well. Ronnies sitar-job a funny thing.
I was worried about a bit boring audience. Can't believe that these enthusiastic danish soccer-fans can be so tired. Maybe no soccer-fan is simultaneously a Stones-fan... Perhaps the cold weather was the reason for that strange (Stones-fan)-behaviour. Nevertheless we had a great 3-song-center-stage-time with a perfect 'You got me Rocking' and I shot a lot of photos. Keith and Ronnie were in a funny mood and kidding sometimes. The Greatest-Hits-section was terrific - each song alike the after show fireworks!
We met again after the show and the northern guys made their plans for the next shows in Gothenburg, Oslo,Tallinn etc. My next event will be in Prague - my first small venue show. Cant' wait!!
